Data Processing Agreement

This page summarizes how Life is a Pitchprocesses personal data on behalf of business customers and how to put a formal Data Processing Agreement (“DPA”) in place. It is a summary for convenience; where a signed DPA exists, that signed agreement governs.

Roles

When you use the Service to process personal data of your own users or contacts (for example, content you include in a deck), you act as the data controller and Life is a Pitch acts as the data processor, processing that personal data only to provide the Service and on your documented instructions.

Nature and purpose of processing

We process the account information, prompts, and deck content you submit in order to generate, edit, render, store, export, and share your decks, and to operate, secure, and support the Service. Processing continues for the duration of your use of the Service.

Subprocessors

We engage the subprocessors listed in our Privacy Policy to help deliver the Service. We require subprocessors to provide an appropriate level of protection and will give notice of material changes to the list so you can object.

Security

We maintain technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data, described on our Security page.

International transfers

We and our subprocessors may process personal data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Data subject requests and assistance

Taking into account the nature of the processing, we will provide reasonable assistance to help you respond to data subject requests and to meet your obligations regarding security, breach notification, and data protection assessments.

Return and deletion

On termination, or on your request, we will delete or return the personal data we process on your behalf, except where retention is required by law. You can also delete decks and request account deletion at any time.

Requesting a signed DPA
